First Run
It was a chilly, overcast day on Sunday, May 4th for our First Run of the season. 7 cars, representing 5 marques gathered in South Anchorage for a lap of Anchorage. It was a bit chilly, with the temp in the low 50’s but the cars love it when it’s cold and all ran just fine. It took about an hour to cover the 25 miles and we finished at O’Brady’s for a burger and beer.

Breakfast Run
This has become one of our most popular events of the year. Hosted by John & Lucy, this year’s breakfast featured sourdough waffles, ham, sausage, quiche and fresh fruit to name just a few. We had over a dozen cars representing 7 marques on the lawn by the time breakfast is on was called. As the weather was somewhat chilly, we just sat around talking, had a second cup of coffee and didn’t drive anywhere at all. What a great day.

Panama Alaska Rally
On June 27th, we hosted the finish of the Panama to Alaska Rally put on by Global Rallies of the U.K. 19 pre 1970 cars completed the 10,800 mile drive from the Panama Canal which took almost 8 weeks.

Fourth of July Parade
We had a record 11 cars representing 6 marques line up for the 4th of July parade in downtown Anchorage. The skies were cloudy which helped keep the cars cool as we idled along for an hour.

Hope Run
Five cars, representing 4 marques showed up on Sunday, July 20th for the Run to Hope. The weather was marginal but they all had a great run as far as Girdwood when threatening clouds caused 3 to turn around and head back to Anchorage. The two MGs soldiered on and made it all the way to Hope experiencing only a few lite sprinkles. Both made it back to Anchorage without problems and had a great ride.

Show & Shine
We had a rare sunny day on Sunday, Aug 3rd for the annual all clubs Show & Shine at the Park Strip in Downtown Anchorage. We had 14 cars representing 9 marques on display amongst the over 400 cars that showed up. By 12 noon the field was full and they were parking cars on an adjacent block.
